Eyetv iphone app1/3/2023 This includes the ability to post video to tweets, conversation threading, an offline mode for reading when you can't get a signal, a drafts manager, tweet translation, and even geotagging. ChicagoNow recently posted a preview of Tweetie 2, indicating that the popular Twitter client has received numerous interface refinements and new features. The second app that we're looking forward to (it's not yet released) is Tweetie 2 for iPhone. The company is apparently looking for ways to mitigate this, though, so a future update may indeed allow us to leave our Zipcards in our wallets for good. This is a perfectly valid reason, but an annoyance nonetheless. Jonathan tells us that the reason for this is to ensure that members don't get stranded if they find themselves in a cell phone dead zone. The second is more annoying-users must still swipe their Zipcards once per session, thereby reducing the appeal of using the app in the first place. One is that there's no dropdown for my saved locations-users can only search nearby or by market, but not a particular location that they always rent from (I have already brought up this issue with the application's illustrious developer, Jonathan Wight). (If you're not entirely familiar with what Zipcar is and why people care, read the aforelinked article for more background.) The app works pretty much exactly as expected-you can search nearby for Zipcar lots (or search by city), look up info and reserve cars directly from the app, and do things like lock/unlock cars without getting out your Zipcard.Īs a longtime Zipcar member, I was very impressed by the app's functionality, though there are two downsides so far that I can see. We interviewed the CTO of Zipcar, Luke Schneider, in August about how the app works with Zipcar's already built-in technologies, and now we are finally able to use the app ourselves. The Zipcar app was demoed during WWDC in June, but took several months of refinements before finally being released yesterday. Though two of the three require laying down some cash, we think the feature sets are worth it. There are three in particular that caught our eye lately, including the long-awaited Zipcar app, Tweetie 2, and the first release of EyeTV for iPhone. Sometimes, it's easy to get buried under the landslide of iPhone apps being released on the App Store, but this week has been a big one for some major apps.
